Darcy Edwars (Shenae Grimes) wasnt a regular castmember on Degrassi, she had only guest-stared. After appearing alot of times they had hired her to become apart of the cast in the fifth cycle.Prior to Degrassi, Shenae had appeared in numerous commercials and appeared in a Whoopi Goldberg.And on Nickelodeon .Also Shenae appeared in The Crossroads that was seen in the 2005.Shenae also wrapped film with Ashley Tisdale and Lauren Collins.
Darcy makes her first appearance as a ninth grader in "Anywhere I Lay My Head". Spinner refers to her as the new girl, to which Darcy replies by saying she prefers being called "Darcy". Darcy is head of the cheerleading squad and a very popular girl. After getting to know Spinner more Darcy and Spinner go hook up. Later on she found out about his past and concluded that he lied to her. So she broke up with him.
In "Free Fallin, Peter tries to apologize to Darcy about the online situation, but she has a hard time forgiving him. When Peter proves to Darcy that he can be a good guy, Darcy begins to fall for until he lies again about his license which was actually suspended and she throws a pie in his face. Her parents foundout and told her not to hang around Peter because they dont like him.Before, she leaves, saying he'll never change. Darcy realizes that Peter is actually trying his best to please her and now Darcy plans on going on a date with him.But her parents don't know.
